Specify
Overview
Specifying Unified Lighting Control aligns the responsibility of both contractors, the BAS Controls Contractor & the Electrical Contractor, with their respective areas of expertise.
In simple terms:
- The BAS Controls Contractor furnishes the lighting control system.
- The Electrical Contractor installs the lighting control system.
By delineating each contractor’s responsibility, integration uncertainty is eliminated and there is one point of accountability. To assist in this, Blue Ridge Technologies offers a two part BACnet Guide Specification, based upon CSI 2004, that makes specifying Unified Lighting Control easy.
Blue Ridge also offers its own Contractor Responsibility Guide PDF | XLS to better demarcate each contractor’s role.
